Why it matters

Etsy was the first marketplace on ChatGPT Instant Checkout (September 2025). OpenAI ended standalone Instant Checkout on 24 March 2026; ChatGPT now focuses on product discovery and purchases complete on Etsy itself. Etsy sellers are also among the first available in Copilot Checkout.
