Walmart first partnered with OpenAI to sell through ChatGPT Instant Checkout (announced 2025). When OpenAI ended standalone Instant Checkout on 24 March 2026, Walmart launched an in-ChatGPT app that supports account linking, loyalty and Walmart payments.
